Esta fecha busca promover la preservaci\u00f3n, recuperaci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n de las 48 lenguas ind\u00edgenas peruanas, parte vital de la identidad cultural nacional. Sin embargo, 21 de estas lenguas est\u00e1n en peligro de extinci\u00f3n debido a la falta de transmisi\u00f3n intergeneracional, exacerbada por la discriminaci\u00f3n y pol\u00edticas estatales que favorecen la asimilaci\u00f3n al espa\u00f1ol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Estas lenguas, memorias vivas de pueblos prehisp\u00e1nicos, custodian la historia e identidad de comunidades que sobrevivieron a la conquista espa\u00f1ola. Su desaparici\u00f3n representa una p\u00e9rdida irreparable del patrimonio cultural peruano. El D\u00eda del Idioma Nativo, instaurado en 1975 por el gobierno de Juan Velasco Alvarado, es una oportunidad para reconocer la diversidad ling\u00fc\u00edstica y promover acciones estatales que aseguren la supervivencia de estas lenguas, incluyendo su uso, preservaci\u00f3n, desarrollo y difusi\u00f3n como patrimonio cultural inmaterial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">La situaci\u00f3n es cr\u00edtica: ninguna lengua en peligro cuenta con m\u00e1s de 11,000 hablantes, con casos extremos como el taushiro, con un solo hablante. Se estima que al menos 35 lenguas se han extinguido en los \u00faltimos 40 a\u00f1os.
